Frugal Living Deals: Join Amazon Local

Not gonna lie – Amazon Local is pretty rad. Especially since I have an irrational fear of Groupon. Or is it that Groupon is afraid of me? I DON’T KNOW ANYMORE. Either way, being able to save some stacks of cash on things you’d already want to do? Awesome.

Now, if you’re like me, you purchase these sorts of thangs, intending to score a fat deal while having some fun, then promptly forget to use them until the last possible minute. DO NOT DO THIS, Pranksters. I warn you – DO NOT DO THIS. If you do buy something through Amazon Local, be sure that you read the fine print and double-check when it expires, if it requires reservations, and if you need to do anything special (like dress up like a clown) to score the deals.

Because part of frugal living IS being able to budget for fun. The other part is not being stupid (which we’re all aware, I have difficulty with) and letting it expire.

It’s very, very important that in whatever budget you create, you allow some time for fun. Otherwise, like starvation dieting, you’ll go on a “shopping binge” and go buy a bunch of crap you don’t need. I don’t know how often I’ve done this – but I don’t really want to dwell on that.

It’s time to face forward and focus upon the future.

A future with FUN involved.

  1. You should also follow Amazon MP3 on facebook and twitter, cause they like to give away free money for MP3s. Seriously. I have like 200 MP3s from them I’ve paid MAYBE $10 for!
